ZONE 1 – 14: Quayside
Port of Middlesbrough’s freeport boasts 1km of prime river frontage and benefits from deep water berths, heavy lift quays and lifting capacity up to 125 tonnes.
The whole port facility stretches across a footprint of over 100-acres and includes 28 freeport sub zones. The quayside estate includes 14 of these sub zones. These include fabrication halls, bulk sheds, laydown areas and open land.
Zone 1-14 features:
- Access to four berths, including two deep water berths and heavy lift quay
- 35 acre site
- Rail linked quayside
- 42m high fabrication halls
- Warehouses equipped with overhead cranes
- Permitted waste area (Environment Agency approved)
- Multiple laydown and storage areas
- Access to extensive range of plant equipment including hybrid harbour cranes, forklifts and loading shovels
- On-site weighbridge
- CCTV
- Controlled access through manned security gate
- 24/7 security patrol
